Poole Council Choose Zeta Solar Light Ring to Illuminate Public Pathway
Zeta Solar recently installed the innovative Solis Pole onto Sandbanks beach in order to improve amenity lighting along the pedestrian footpath.

The Solis Pole is a lighting Column that incorporates vertical solar cells into the column design for a more aesthetic solution for solar lighting. With over 40w of solar and 100amp hours of battery the award winning Zeta Solis pole is the first standalone amenity light that maximises solar power – even in the UK winter. The secret lies in the clever electronic controller which ensures year round operation.

The Zeta Solis provides a unique solution to the problems of remote lighting, ideal for areas where it would be difficult or costly to provide a mains connection. Once installed, running costs are zero.
Zeta Managing Director Phil Shadbolt said: "Solar Lighting in the UK brings so many challenges; winters, long evenings and short solar intake hours means that all UK Solar systems must be designed and installed using intelligent software or there is a high probability they will not be reliable. The Poole Project is a fantastic step forward for solar lighting in the UK and offers a contemporary, elegant and efficient Light source for the pedestrians."
The Solis Pole has been used for a number of applications across the UK and Europe to illuminate Road Signage, Belesha Beacons, Vehicle Activated Signage and now Direct Amenity Lighting.
